Your family deserves more than a waitlist and a pamphlet.

When families come to Open Arms Consulting, they're usually at one of a few crossroads. Some just got the diagnosis and feel completely at sea. Some have been navigating this for years and have hit a wall they can't seem to get past alone. Some are looking ahead — to school transitions, to adolescence, to adulthood — and the road forward feels terrifying.

Wherever you are, there is a path forward. And I'll help you find it.

All support is offered virtually, making it accessible to families across Canada and around the world. For families in Montreal, in-person options are available.

  • For families who need flexible, personalized guidance without a long-term commitment, one-on-one consulting offers exactly that.

This is the space where you bring your real questions, your current challenges, your 2am panic spirals — and we work through them together. It might look like unpacking a rough week and figuring out what your child's behaviour is really communicating. It might look like preparing for an IEP meeting, navigating a school conflict, or working through a specific transition that's coming up fast.

  • Before anything else, every family starts here if you are entering the Open Arms RDI Program. Not because it's a formality — but because it is genuinely the most important thing we can do together first.

The RDA is a comprehensive developmental assessment designed to give us a clear, honest, and deeply human picture of where your child is right now. Not compared to a neurotypical standard. Not reduced to a checklist of deficits. But a real understanding of your child's developmental profile — their strengths, their gaps, their unique way of moving through the world — and a personalized roadmap for exactly what comes next.

    The RDA includes:

A full assessment session where we observe, review, and evaluate your child's current developmental stage through video observation and a thorough parent interview. Then a dedicated review session where I walk you through the findings, present your child's developmental profile, and we map out your goals together. You'll also receive a comprehensive written report — something you can return to, share with your child's school, and use as the foundation for everything we build going forward.

This isn't a cold clinical report. It's a document that finally makes your child make sense — and shows you exactly where to go from here.

The RDA is required for all families before entering The Open Arms RDI Program, and is the foundation on which everything else is built

  • This is the deep work. The whole-family, relationship-first, nothing-left-out transformation that I built Open Arms Consulting to deliver.

Rooted in Relationship Development Intervention — but expanded, personalized, and designed to go further than the traditional model — this program is for families who are ready to stop surviving and start truly thriving.

What makes this different from traditional RDI:

Most RDI programs stop at the front door. Ours doesn't. We bring the work into every space your child inhabits — collaborating with schools, navigating community environments, addressing the real-world challenges that arise outside the therapy room & the home environment. We fill in developmental gaps that often get missed or overlooked. We look at the whole child, the whole family, and the whole life you're trying to build together.

Alongside the core RDI framework, we weave in support for the things that traditional programs leave on the table — building your child's emotional resilience, supporting your own wellbeing as a parent, developing independence and life skills, advocacy tools for navigating educational systems, and guidance for preparing for the transitions ahead, including adolescence and adulthood.

    The program journey includes:

A foundation phase — where we stabilize, understand, and build the core of your parent-child relationship. You'll come to understand your child's developmental profile deeply, learn how your own nervous system impacts theirs, and begin to shift the dynamic at home in ways that create immediate relief.

A growth phase — where we go deeper. Co-regulation, scaffolding, communication, school collaboration, community integration. This is where the skills become second nature and the relationship begins to genuinely transform.

A transformation phase — for families in longer programs, this is where we look ahead. Independence, advocacy, life skills, transitional planning. This is where we take everything we've built and prepare your family for whatever comes next — with confidence and clarity instead of fear.

Programs are available across multiple formats — from a 12-week foundation start-up for families just beginning, to a 6-month growth program, to a full 12-month transformational journey for families ready to go all in. Every program is fully customized. Every family moves at their own pace.

Not Sure Where to Start?

That's exactly what the discovery call is for.

Thirty minutes. No pressure. No obligation. Just a real conversation about where your family is, what you need, and whether Open Arms Consulting is the right fit for you.

You don't need to have it together before you reach out. Figuring it out together, that's literally the whole point.
